Fresh Air and The Treatment are great. Terry Gross and Elvis Mitchell are two of the best interviewers around.

What's the German podcast called? I'd like to listen for the sake of language practice.

Thanks for the answer.

The podcast is: http://www.wrint.de/category/holger-ruft-an/
You can dig through the archives. My favourites were the episodes about South India, the 2012 conspiracy and the more recent one about Congo.

Edit:
I looked through ITunes and "Die Sendung mit der Maus" has a podcast. :3: I don't think there is a better way to learn a language than watching Kid's Tv shows. Also you will learn something.

What you're looking for are called field recordings - framework rado is a good place to start http://www.frameworkradio.net/

my turn for a question: I've started jogging and I do so for about 30 minutes at a time - I'd like to find good podcasts 15-30 minutes long - anything relating to movies, pop culture, games, news, weird stuff, I don't know - I've looked up a ton of podcasts but hour long podcasts are a pain to listen to i this manner.

Try http://howtodoeverything.org/ or http://skeptoid.com/

I discovered the podcast of two american expats living in Saudi Arabia. It sure is informative, I mean how much do you hear about Saudi Arabia besides beheadings?

I gave up on TAL, when they interviewed "good" republicans.
