I need help and I'm going goddamn crazy. My podcast that I just recently finished refuses to play on Soundcloud. When I upload it I get a message that says "Track Cannot Be Played". I really really really do not want to go through and re-edit this thing because I've already spent way longer on it than I normally do due to technical issues. I have tried the following formats and it's the same on all of them which leads me to believe it's something with Audacity: Wav (32 bit) Wav (16 bit) MP3 AIFF All of them give me the same goddamn error. However when I play it in Windows Media Player or VLC everything is fine. I'm at work so I can't really do much with it right now. Any thoughts or suggestions? EDIT: I'm having my cohost download the Youtube version as a MP3 and then uploading it that way. EDIT 2: Downloading my Youtube video as a Wav and then uploading that file worked. Kangra posted:I have a number of podcasts that are just 2-5 people talking, and I like to have them as background noise, but looking at my feed, it's mostly dudes. So I'm looking for more podcasts with female hosts. Any recommendations? Would a podcast with a Women and a Man be ok?

This is just general bitching. Please feel free to ignore. Over the last 2 years I did a podcast with a friend discussing the British Comedy Series Peep Show. I just discovered that shortly after we finished our podcast that someone else (who after talking to them loving listened to our show) decided to do their own version of it. Their logo is exactly like our logo, their talking points are almost the exact same, and while we are not direct competition since we are talking about different shows now, it still kind of loving pisses me off. Plus they are active on our shows twitter account so I feel like they are aping their audience based off the work my friend and I did. I don't want to be petty about it, but gently caress it pisses me off. Thank you and feel free to ignore this post.

mrfart posted:That's downright weird. Did you call them out on it? What are their responses?. Their response was "Wow lol our logos do look the same." If I talked about Seinfeld I'm sure my show would sound like any of the other Seinfeld podcasts. It's more the logo I'm annoyed about. Mine is on the right, theirs is on the left

Lampsacus posted:That sucks. Both your logos are cribbed from the prep show logo rather directly. Well yes. I mean my show was about Peep Show. My issue is that these guys listened to our podcast and were aware of it before they created their logo.

A friend of mine (along with a really oddly timed post in GBS) turned me onto a podcast called Death of August (which is about the death of porn actress August Ames) by journalist Jon Ronson. Her husband Kevin posts(ed?) on SA with the name Darkpriest. It's a really interesting and compelling 7 episode podcast! I'm currently listen to Jon Ronson's other podcast series which is called "The Butterfly Effect" which is about the creation of Pornhub and the impact it's had on the porn industry.

life is a joke posted:Listened to the first 4 episodes of Running from Cops. I'm so glad you recommended this show because it's awesome. I'm equally fascinated and horrified. I haven't watched Cops in decades but it was a very popular show to watch in the barracks when I was in the military. I feel bad that I ever watched it now. I have a friend who is obsessed with Live PD and I'm looking forward to what they have to say about that show later.

The Xbox Underground episode of Darknet Diaries is loving amazing. Along with that I've been listening to Confronting OJ and I've highly enjoyed that podcast as well. I was 13 when the trial happened and I don't really remember much about it other than my Grandmother being super obsessed with it, watching it daily, and when she came and stayed with us for 2 weeks refused to take my sister and I anywhere during the day when the trail was on. I'm sure it's also been recommended here but just want to reiterate how awesome the last 7 episodes of Behind the Bastards has been.
