Not the actor John Larroquette, this is his son. Jonathan is a former Rastafarian with a peculiar and often amusing upbringing. He’s done almost every popular psychedelic drug and sometimes talks about his experiences when the topic comes up. He’s slowed down over the years but, he has been known to occasionally smoke cannabis or drink weird energy drinks while they record the show (more early on).

His unique past and drug use shaped him into a humble and self aware person who occasionally goes on rants about society. He got the nickname Jah from his rasta past, but mainly because in the first 50 or so episodes he would sometimes read hilarious and awful poetry from when he was a teenager and they would start the segment with a loud, echoed JAH-AH-Ah-ahathan’s poetry sound bite. It was a popular bit, but sadly he ran out of material quickly. He’s currently unemployed, but sometimes goes on tours with his band "Jogger" featuring his pal Amir Yaghmai.

Seth is awesome, he’s the funniest person I've ever listened to. He has his own style of comedy and impersonations that contain incredible delivery. He doesn't participate in social technology or own a cellphone (although he does use the internet to occasionally uncover material for some of the darkest moments of the show). It's easy to imagine him being one of the greatest stand up comedians on the circuit if he wasn't so private and slightly neurotic (likely exaggerated for the podcast.)

He was small time actor that's featured in Britney Spear's Crossroads. He doesn’t reveal as much as Jonathan does, but he is a former alcoholic, which sometimes leads to incredible rants about sobriety. He often talks about TV and even has must watch short length video compilations from the strange collection of television content he's taped over the decades: http://uhhyeahdude.com/media/seths_corner/

For their 100th episode they started experimenting with video and recorded a few clips from the podcast that can be found on their youtube channel. I'll list some of the better ones, but I find the actual podcast is a better way to jump into it and that the clips, while funny, don't represent the show as a whole.

UYD's continuing listenability can't be overstated. Episodes they recorded in 2006 are still hilarious an relevant, which makes this a great show to archive binge on. I listened to episodes 1-260 over the course of about 6 months.

This can't be stressed enough. Anyone I turn on to this podcast I tell them to just start at episode 1. When I jumped in in the early 200s I didn't really like it, but I started to listen in order out of curiosity and I got hooked. The early episodes really build up the two hosts as the characters they are and you learn the origins of every insidy type joke. Like Song For The Deaf said, they have rarely felt dated at all so it's all fresh and hilarious content.

If you jump in to the newer ones and don't care for it, give the older ones a try. I'm still not caught up to the current ones, I have like 50 to go.

I'm gonna try to get some episode recommendations/clips up soon as well, so if anyone has any to add let me know.

Seth's Sexy Sativa: A strain of medicinal marijuana sold in Hollywood, California. After people smoke it, they're not sure at first, then they sit back and realize, "wait a minute, everything here is like, awesome. Wicked awesome" (Episode 121, 8:51 Jonathan smokes it.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4WeSTHZtU8&feature=channel_video_title This is definitely one of Jonathan's bests stories.

My favorite one though is when he steals the sacred Indian weed and swears he would never do it to him because of his Rastafarian religion "bro".

Honorable mentions are the three blues traveler stories, especially the first one. I'll try to have all of these in the op in some form soon.
