Big News! Starting last week BJ Shea's Geek Nation has gone to a 5-day a week podcast! Our podcasts generally run 25 - 40 minutes in length and talk about all things geeky! Our Monday, Wednesday and Friday podcasts are about general geekery, including Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movies & TV, Comic books, geeky gadgets and video games! These episodes usually feature The Reverend En Fuego (HEY, that's me!), BJ Shea, Vicky B and Brandon Jerwa. Tuesday we focus on Magic: the Gathering, with hosts The Rev, Mono-Nick and Joe ('The Prodigy'). Thursday Brandon Jerwa and comic writer Mark Rahner discuss pop culture on their own terms. Pros for Phone: It's easier to get people who are over the country on their schedule, which means a lot of people are more open to doing an interview. Skype is a thing now that works quite well. Cons for Phone: It usually sounds terrible. Everyone does it via their cell phones, which is horrible because the quality is crap and if they're on blue tooth, god help you. You can't take any visual cues from the person. This isn't too bad, but it can mean people talking over one another.
