Big Guns Tower Defense is one of the best tower defense games I have played. FastBall 2 is one of the better platformer styled games available and it is free. The recent update makes 3 block jumps less impossible. Rad Now! is a great radar app, minimal fuss to it and relativly quick, even on 3G networks. WOW Forum Reader is a clean, easy to use, fast app that allows us nerds to pour through the gnome fetish RP threads easily. WoW armory is a great way to access the armory. Latest updates have made it a 5 star app. The Onion 7 while slow, is a fun way to get your daily dose of TheOnion. Netflix is a no brainer if you have an account. IM+ is currently the most reliable way to get Facebook chat on your phone but is useless once Mango is released.

Wordament is the best game. Not just on Windows Phone or smart phones. It is the best game ever. It's a Boggle-type game that you play against the internet.

Whatsapp....paging whatsapp! This is what's holding me from plopping my SIM into my FOCUS full time. Until this app arrives, I cannot justify upping my text plan to unlimited on AT$T.

I started playing an indie game last night, it's called Dungeon Stalker. Basically it's a clone of the old 3D Dungeon Action RPGs from way back. Seems to be regularly updated the half hour i played it was very promising.

Can get it off the Zune software instead of the Phone if you look for WhatsApp. But would need to wait for Mango to install it.

Got mango today. Good so far. Whatsapp seems to suck down my battery though. I fly weekly for work an must chime in about Delta's app. Its awesome. And being able to pin the next boarding pass that shows a live tile of the city you are flying to is simply genius. I am shocked at how great of an app it is.

For anyone living in the Seattle area, there is a Windows Phone 7 version of OneBusAway. People who live here and take the bus know that this is an essential app regardless of the platform. I'll also mention that Wordament is easily one of the most addictive mobile games I've ever played. G-III fucked around with this message at 08:05 on Sep 28, 2011 |

Anyone able to download the Samsung "high fidelity postion" app? Now that Mango supports digital compasses, I figured I'd give it a try. But even after restarting my phone several times, the download still won't install right. (nvm, apparantly downloading it over 3G instead of Wi-Fi worked ) Total Confusion fucked around with this message at 20:48 on Sep 28, 2011 |

Are there any good free image editing apps? I mainly just need something that can rotate photos. For free games, Microsoft released Xbox Live versions of Sudoku and Minesweeper which are both pretty fun if you're into those.

Apparently with the new TV additions to the 360 this holiday season, there will also be an app that allows you levels of control over your 360. The Xbox Companion App. That'll be interesting. http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_...panion-app.aspx

If anyone is still looking for a good weather app with Live Tile support, you may want to check out Frost. The app seems to be a bit of a newcomer, but compared to the other popular weather apps with Live Tiles (Weather Live and Weatherbug), it's much nicer looking, both on the tile and within the app itself. The only feature that seems to be missing is the option to choose between Fahrenheit and Celcius, but maybe that will be added soon.
