Adriano was hired by ESPN Brazil for their coverage of the champions league final. And then, being Adriano, partied too hard, missed the flight to Europe and got fired.

Neymar is being the piece of poo poo he's always been. He decided to create an artificial lagoon in his mansion in Brazil by diverting a river that went by nearby. When the local city sent people to stop the construction, he threw a party and people would take selfies with the "embargoed" sign. His money isn't in Brazil, so his plan seems to be incur millions in fines, fight for decades over the state taking over the property for unpaid fines, while hoping that his celebrity sways voters to get people in charge who will forgive him.

The sort of poo poo Paqueta did is the same sort of poo poo that a lot of Brazilian players were busted for doing earlier this year. And then the main names involved were suddenly bought by teams in turkey and the like. So there is obvious some sort of big international connection doing these things.

Daniel Alves is in jail awaiting trial for rape. His wife is trying to divorce him, and he is refusing to pay child support. So Brazilian and Spanish banks have frozen his accounts to get the child support payments. He could, of course, pay the child support he owes and free up his accounts. But he hasn't, which means he has no money to pay his expensive lawyers. No worries, because Neymar has stepped in to pay his lawyers and any fines he may owe regarding the rape trial. Because that is what good friends do: not only defend your buddy from an open and shut accusation of rape, but ensure that he doesn't pay child support to unfreeze his accounts.

Jel Shaker posted:what on earth, isn’t there way just to make the payments without his consent? It involves the justice system of 2 different countries. I am sure that once it plays out he will be forced to pay. But in the current moment, the courts just froze his assets so he can't hide them while the whole divorce plays out.

kri kri posted:https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/39428110/neymar-hits-back-weight-criticism-social-media-post I posted the picture in the funny football poo poo. A lot of his fans are saying that the picture is misleading, he just has a puffy coat on. Which might even start to convince you, until you realize that he was in Rio, where it is summer.

Scumbag Neymar's dad will pay the bail. Based on Brazilian reporting, the argument is that since the expected date where all the appeals will be resolved is more than halfway through the sentenced time, he gets to do the appeal in freedom.

Good news for once: Brazilian justice has decided that Robinho should serve his sentence for rape from Italy in Brazil. Brazil doesnt extradite its own citizens, so Italy had requested that Brazil enforce the sentence there.
