The Steve Albini interview was fantastic. His follow through on tops distaste for lovely beards was absolutely spot on. I know he makes claims of this being his last show, but after listening for two/ three years I've let that go. Hell be back sooner or later.

I have recently discovered Spike's facebook acct

EDIT: http://www.facebook.com/Soapking1965?fref=nf_fr

For those of us who are new, Spike is a regular caller.

Believe it or not, Spike is actually a large middle aged black homosexual man, rather than the fat, tiny bald white guy. And yes, that is John Wesley Shipp.

It's a milestone in every Best Show fan's journey when he finds out what Spike really looks like. I used to picture him looking like Tobin Bell!

...terrifying

I thought he looked more like the Sit On You guy from Tim And Eric

I just thought everyone aught to know Spike wished me a happy birthday. I turned 26. The official cutoff date for him. He also posts poorly photo edited pictures of JWS and gay porn stars on his facebook page.

"Gethard asked if, now that The Best Show is no longer beholden to radio standards of decency, Scharpling will allow cursing on the famously PG show.

“I love cursing,” Scharpling answered. “Cursing is very funny, right? But it’s fun to find loopholes to say something filthy and get away with it,” like saying “whitewashing your hand” as opposed to “jerking off.” So cursing will be avoided, but it won’t necessarily be penalized."

I STILL DONT WANT ANY TURLET TALK. I prefer a good pants rummage over jerking off any day of the week.

Tom talking about his dad was so great, and the Italian place story was loving great. I'm a little shocked that he's still on but he's still really good.

It always surprises me when Tom has a loss, be it at the end of the WFMU years, and other things, but you really feel the loss with him. He's that good.

This week's episode was fan friggin tastic. However, is Julie Klausner a little drunk when she's always on with Tom, or do they just have THAT much fun together?

Half Hour of Power from this week was the best one ever. Someone called in to say Mike was bullying them on Linked In and hilarity ensues

That slayed me, Tom compared to LinkedIn to Ashley Madison, as in that it makes it seem that "This is where the action is going down" but in reality it's a bunch of complete losers.

I was legitimately wiping away tears I was laughing so hard at that hour. "Mark Ruffalo crossed with Bruce Vilanch" was so unbelievably cruel.

That was brutal. Tom often talks about how there is no flattering way to say that "you look like____" even if it is supposed to be a compliment. I thought the entire hour would take off a year of his life, that was harsh.
