It isn't mildly amusing, it is loving great. Sick of that one ad always being there. Not that any of other porn ads are better.

I hope Hussie comes to his senses soon and just hosts it on multiple free download sites. It is a temporary solution for what is a temporary problem.

I presume part of the reason he wants it on his site is because, well, the ad revenue off this one flash will probably pay off the costs for the site for quite awhile. Which is less a "greed" thing and more a matter of practicality.

It's like New Years all over again!

And maybe that's what we will be celebrating with the new flash. We still need to see how the trolls react to the Green Sun stuff going on, as well as the John/Rose resurrection and the Jade/Dave creating the frog.

I just have a feeling the theme is going to be creation.

I'm trying to remember all the stuff that is left hanging. We've got the exiles in the future doing something with the statues/vehicles/artifacts. We've got the White King ready to pop up somewhere. We've got the stuff with WV and the ring. Plus all the stuff brought up recently....

I'm so excited for the EOA. I totally forgot about it while I was moving last week, and now I'm done and here it (almost, hopefully) is!

I also FINALLY got to put up the C.R.U.N.K Gold Edition print I got in August in my new apartment, and it is probably one of the better home decorations I've ever bought.

This seems like a good time to get back into the comic. Wow, two months hiatus, that must have been hell.
I see Gamzee supposedly has been pacified, I wonder how the others are going to react to that news...
This is kind of exciting, this flash could be even better than [s] Descend.

I wonder how much he actually makes, if he can afford "several thousand dollars a month" for hosting, and also pay for rent, food, etc. $10k for one day of hosting this flash? It took me most of last year to earn that much.

If the flash isn't up before I leave for work, I will take my tablet and go to McDonald's or somewhere with free wifi for lunch. Let's face it, I'm gonna be pretty distracted tomorrow anyway.

To my knowledge he makes quite a bit of money off of that Photoshop plugin. MSPA is just an (expensive, self-sustaining) hobby.

Probably gonna buy the new album the instant I see it, just like all the rest. MSPA Music Team albums are always insta-buys for me.

I'm just going to assume it won't be up tomorrow so I can actually focus at work (and so I won't cry too much if it actually isn't up tomorrow). Matter of fact, now seems like a good time for a re-read.

I am utterly exhausted and going to sleep shortly but I told my girlfriend to wake me up if it goes up overnight. I am hoping for a 3am phone call.

Then I will watch it again later that morning when I can actually process what's happening.

I'm pretty sure he makes a decent of money off of merchandising. You should never underestimate how much dough that stuff can bring in. It wouldn't surprise me if this hobby was pulling in some decent cash for him.

Edit: Any word on when the flash will be published tomorrow? Or is he going for a midnight release.

So, uh, I read about seventy percent of Homestuck over the course of the last three days.
I read it from the time it started (when I was the same age as the main characters :baby: ) up until the middle of the Hivebent portion and put it on a sort of indefinite hold because the fanbase was seriously weirding me out. Now I'm all up to date and emotionally traumatized.

Am I still allowed to get super pumped about this update? I didn't realize I missed this comic so much.

Close to the end? This thing's got six months left in it at least and I would not be at all surprised if it's longer than that.

At least six months.
That would put it at ending near 4/13.

Pft, I don't think so. Maybe if your parents hadn't really promised that they would have your presents out in the morning. And if they'd spent two months wrapping them and keeping you up to date on the wrapping progress. And if they'd bought you SO MANY presents that they weren't even sure that they could fit them all in the house and were looking into renting out the neighbor's.

Ohgodohgodohgod. :f5:

Regy Rusty

Well that does seem a reasonable date for Andrew to shoot for if he plans to wrap this up. But I'm actually just projecting based upon how long things tend to take. Act 6 is intended to be shorter than the monstrosity that's Act 5, but considering that it's been going for 16 months, there is a wide range that could qualify as shorter. Add that to the fact that things have always taken longer than Andrew expects them to I'd say it's probably impossible to predict how long this still has to go.

Especially since we as readers don't even have a clear idea yet of what needs to happen over the course of Act 6.

What's the significance of that date? For that matter what's the significance of 10/25?

Regy Rusty
Apr 26, 2010

Homestuck started on 4/13/2009.

Hivebent started on 6/12/2010.

1025 is 413+612. All three numbers have shown up repeatedly throughout Homestuck in various contexts and sometimes Andrew has aimed to post significant things on those dates.

4/13 is the start date of Homestuck. It's like everywhere in the comic.

10/25 is 4/13 + 6/12 (the date hivebent started, the troll arc's number)

Let's be honest here, it's entirely possible- and not unreasonable- for Act 6 to be longer than Act 5 was. Remember when Hivebent was still going, and Andrew mentioned it was originally going to last a month or so? Ac
