There's absolutely 0 evidence that indicates that the kids scratching their session scratched the trolls' session again. The Trolls' session was already scratched once. Scratching it again would prevent Doc Scratch from existing and therefore prevent the Kids from Scratching so e: Maybe UU is PipeFan413

So I just reread through the Troll Ancestors section of Homestuck again. I think that the kids universe that we were in was post-scratch. Nanna/Mom/Bro/Grandpa played the session that we are currently seeing and will scratch it to create the kid's session. This is why Nanna talks about playing SBurb. She's like the Signless in that she remembers and presumably the other three guardians do as well. Also explains the SBurb Alpha. We have yet to see the kid's scratched session. It makes as much sense as this being post-scratch, at least

So the scratch's purpose is to reset the universe so that more ideal conditions are met, that is, to nurture the players so that they are better prepared to win the game. All the new characters have not-laptop chat devices. The entire problem with the Kids' session was that they spent hours dicking around trying to make laptop-headgear and loving up. That's why they lost.

If you have not seen Arrested Development, I really really really suggest just jumping the gently caress in and buying the DVDs 'cause they end up being super cheap all the time. It's a show filled with constant callbacks and references not unlike MSPA. You won't catch half the jokes the first time around, either. Or the second. Or the third. It was the best situational comedy ever on television
