I think John's keeping it together because he's the friendleader and he thinks he has to stay strong for everyone else. So he just acts like everything's fine. "Dad's dead, but I'm going to talk about flying so I don't start crying in front of Karkat when I have important stuff to do." "Oh, that girl I was talking to a lot and we liked each other? I'm sure she doesn't remember me, so I'm going to pretend I don't remember her." I think the first time John is alone alone, he's going to just break down.

I wouldn't put it past him that he's going to pretend that he didn't really care that much about Vriska, because he thinks she won't remember him, so he's going to act like it's not a big deal so she doesn't look like a jerk or anything.

Shouldn't Rose have been able to heal WV without waiting for a dead Witch of Life to do it for her? Plus "restoring sight" would probably be within Light's purview anyway (and I think is the first time Light is used in its usual definition rather than the weird "luck" thing I still don't get.) e: Cabbit posted:Maybe. I think it's far more likely that healing isn't the exclusive purview of Life, it just has a higher predilection towards it as an element. If you happened to have a session with, say, a Prince of Life (which would, presumably, just destroy life in some sort of horrible biological sideshow of terror and mindfuck) you might need one of the other elements to step in as a healer.

I was going to say they'd pretty much have to be, since only Vriska hit God Tier, but then I remember Gamzee and I don't know what to think anymore. Was it ever "confirmed" that Vriska was the only one who hit God Tier during the session? I could have sworn she said she was the only one who did it.

It's rules-light, and has a points mechanic that literally runs of of funny/awesome things happening. The issue isn't that the kids are dead (since we all know they have extra lives and such). The issue is that they're all down at the same time at a point where they're all supposed to be getting each other into the Medium. And even if Shrodinger's Roxy isn't dead, one of her lathe-related devices definitely got destroyed, so that screws up the who entry sequence too.
