This is an enormous potential traffic spike for anything short of a global CDN (I...kinda doubt that "free" CDN startup mentioned earlier would work, or not cut him off about 30 seconds into the spike.) and those are Not Cheap. There really aren't any magic bullets here, so again: curious to see what the resolution will be.
