Well we are coming up on that time of year again. Update and pimp your links as much as possible over the next 3 months, most affiliate marketers selling retail poo poo do a great deal of their business in the next couple of months. Personally I make something like 50 percent of my income in Nov/Dec/Jan.

Honestly, find people in your niche and just email them. It is like cold calling in sales- same concept but a little easier. Search similar terms in google and find people who are succeeding and see if they will trade.

Things start to really pop off around Nov 20-25 and really don't settle down til after return season in Jan. Count on boosted numbers til at least Jan 10.

You should leverage your existing pagerank to throw up some more commerce oriented pages that will benefit from being on your site. Like if you see amazon has a coupon for pokemon red post up the offer+your Amazon associates link and try to hit something like pokemon red coupon amazon 2012.
