Some friends of mine made a script for a course that did this, it basically works by fourier transforming both images and removing the low spatial frequencies of one picture (einstein) and high spatial frequencies of the other (monroe), then combining the two and transforming it back into a picture. The further away you are from the picture, the less the high spatial frequencies are visible to your eye and the more obvious the other picture becomes. You can also see it by relaxing your eyes (focussing on infinity).
