XboxPants posted:Is there anything that indicates one way or the other whether this fits in with Avengers/Wolverine and the X-Men? From little bits I've looked at it looks like Ultimate Spider-man could possibly be a prequel, but at the very least they don't seem to be going on at the same time. It is 100% separate, they aren't doing a connected universe.

So a few sites now have been reporting an interview with Loeb that doesn't sound very good for the future of EMH. There's not a third season currently in production and all he will admit when asked about it is that they have big plans in the future for the Avengers franchise. It sounds like this will be meeting the same fate as Spectacular Spider-man, axed because the production predates the Disney acquisition and it will likely be replaced by a more kid-friendly show.

Gaz-L posted:I'd be down with a 'New Avengers' series, a la JLU. Have the mansion get blown up, do the big Kree/Skrull war, and all the heroes band together, ending with Stark making his skyscraper into Avengers Tower, and them welcoming a bunch of cameos into the ranks properly. The current show already is essentially Marvel's JLU, they've already had a huge amount of obscure characters and they're going even further by involving other franchises like F4, Spider-Man and the X-Men.

Because I'm pretty sure that thing covers even less than usual for Thor. Thankfully Heroes Reborn happened* and got rid of that piece of poo poo post-haste. So he needed more armor for protection but chose to leave his torso exposed and unprotected where his vital organs are?

It was rumored at first but there's nothing official, the art style in the promo pic seems a bit more realistic than Spider-Man's but there's no way to know that this will for sure be what the style of the actual show is.

He also took a bunch of his Heroes co-writers and somehow got Marvel to stick them on the Ultimate books pre-Ultimatum and they made Ultimate X-Men even worse, and at that time it wasn't really good to begin with.

KungFu Grip posted:So Loeb hates the separate Marvel cartoon thing, but what's the deal with all the new CGI Iron Man episodes that keep coming out? That's ending too, they had to wait out the contract on that one because it was made with Nickelodeon prior to the Disney merger. A new Iron Man cartoon is rumored to be in the works for Disney XD along with Avengers Assemble and Hulk: Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

Cliff Racer posted:Haha, how on earth did they do that? Anyways movie/comic synergy has been around for awhile. Remember the last time Spiderman got organic web shooters? Nick Fury has a secret half-black bastard son who coincidentally loses the exact same eye as his father and decides to start calling himself "Nick" because he finds out that's the name on his birth certificate despite going his entire life being called Marcus. Also his best friend is Agent Coulson. Yes it's as hackneyed as it sounds, don't read Battle Scars.

I actually really like Ant-Man's characterization on the show and them changing Ultron's origin iso that it was a collective team failure instead of it being all on Pym was a good decision.

Costume people. It could be like a venture brothers comic that only focuses on the bad guys. Although not villains, I always like the Damage Control concept at Marvel. A team of superhumans who work as a cleanup crew fixing all the damaged buildings and infrastructure after superhero brawls.

The Wolverine half of Hulk Vs is pretty entertaining and has Deadpool in a pretty good supporting role. Don't watch Dr. Strange or Invincible Iron Man, I recall them both being pretty terrible. Superman/Shazam was pretty good too actually even though it's not feature length.

Wacker's been a great editor when he's not a huge rear end in a top hat. I'm hoping this means they improve their DTV offerings. The recent Marvel ones have all been pretty terrible. DC at least has been approaching theirs smartly by adapting popular storylines and I think marvel could easily do the same.
