What do you mean inaaccessible? Turn on the Bookmark Bar if you haven't already, you can put folders on the bar and go nuts. Same exact thing as I dodid in Firefox.

I'd be really shocked if it was anything about Chrome doing this. Have you tried disabling all your extensions and browsing for a while that way? Browsing in Incognito mode will do this by default.
