A third song from St Vincent's upcoming album, "Prince Johnny", is now available for download (if you've preordered on iTunes). Also, while the other songs are greyed out, you actually can sample them (again, on itunes).

Here it is, for anyone to listen:

drat am I excited for this album.

In the meantime, Sun Kil Moon's new album Benji has been getting mass hype, and it is well-deserved. Never heard an album that was so brutally honest, it sacrifices nothing and instead depicts the reality of life and death in all its forms.

This is a less depressing song from it, "Ben's My Friend":

Have any of you seen Real Estate live? I've been digging their new album and they are in town at a cool venue tomorrow, but I am not sure if I should go or not. Is it worth it to check them out?

Hey that new Frankie Cosmos album (Zentropy) is really good. I just listened to it twice in a row and enjoyed it a whole lot. Thankfully it's only 18 minutes long. She's put out a whole lot of music in the past year plus and she's only 19 I think?

The best song on it is probably birthday song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPKFWhRv-60

I also really enjoyed Art School, Owen, and Buses Splash With Rain.

Here's a link to her bandcamp for the album: http://ingridsuperstar.bandcamp.com/

Holy gently caress. I can't get enough of this album. Every song is fantastic, though I especially love I Do Too. Thanks for this.

No, but the album has been floating around the net for a while. Definitely in my top 3 of 2014 thus far. Incredible record.

This new Future Island album... is not good. Ran is the only thing I enjoy, the rest feels like leftovers from other albums.

Conversely, I really like it.

What are people's thoughts on the new Father John Misty? I also think it is quite good.

TBF I am not very critical when it comes to music. Basically my test is: do I like to listen to it? Then it is good.

Mutemath just dropped the first, and probably only, video from their upcoming album. It's an odd choice for a single, since it's way more "guitar rock" than anything else I've heard from the album, and we all know that's not exactly "in" these days. (They still stubbornly refuse to push "Break The Fever", which has lots of hit potential based on the concert recordings I've heard.) On the other hand, I guess "War" is better for a basic band performance video.

What? Pretty sure guitar rock is still "in"
