So reason announced its basically starting its slow pivot to plug ins.

Now you can use reason rack extensions and other stuff as plug ins in your favorite DAW starting september 25th.

Reason is doing a 30 day trial, if you dont want to use it as a Daw it also comes as the plug in.

It's pretty much an industry standard sound colourer at this point.

Spitfire stuff is 50% off if you use "CH100K"

First up, for 100,000 seconds, take 50% off one Spitfire Audio product of your choice with code CH100K. This is a HUGE offer, one never seen before in the history of Spitfire Audio. But you only get to 100k subs once so… you deserve it.

Offer valid on individual libraries £/$/€100 and over. Offer Excludes Collections, Contemporary Drama Toolkit, Albion Solstice, Hammers, Abbey Road One: Orchestral Foundations and Stratus. Limited to one product per customer and there must only be one product in your cart when checking out.

Offer valid from

Makes me wonder how many people I currently support who are secretly complete bastards.

Good news, with the increasing economic hardship and conservative media rage farming for views you'll find out sooner than you think!

Edit

Is there something that does a similar "coloring" job to RC-20.

I feel like I just reach for it for default.

good video btw, i meant to comment on this earlier, especially because ive been talking about spitfire and how much i like their products lol. but christian sucks so much, they need to get rid of him. ive been wondering if anyone was going to make a comprehensive video on this stuff, because i wasn't sure if there was more to it beyond christian's tweet, but it seems like it was just that, and the fact that he hasn't said anything else about it, and has tweeted more dog whistley stuff since then.. i commented on his most recent youtube video called 'pianobook - I QUIT' and said 'why dont you just apologize for what you said, surely thats easier than all of this', because i didn't see a single other negative comment, and i actually am wondering why he won't comment on it. i mean i know why, but it just seems bizarre that he only made one fairly vague tweet and then didn't say anything else.

The vague tweet wasn't just one tweet. The initial backlash had him responding and posting the 1,000 families suing the Tavistock clinic and bringing up that he's super worried about it because his kids are autistic, one thing the video didn't really mention because he locked his poo poo down fairly quick after that and deleted most of that stuff.

If his coworkers didn't get through to him and express the need for an apology/retraction/mea culpa statement then he's willfully being a dick about it.

The fact that he hasn't said "My opinions are my own as are my actions, don't go after others for them" says more about him than his loving lovely opinions.

Dude was always going to flame out in one way or another, just super sucks it was in a manner that caused so much backlash for others.

I’m going to disagree, I’m glad he outed the whole company as being complicit in transphobia instead of pretending he’s an aberration of a great place to work.

Fair enough.

Was more referring to the Pianobook community that got several trans moderators and collaborators ran off or put in lovely situations where work they were proud of was suddenly tainted by ol "look at me I got opinions" Henson.

Why can't companies just offer the two pronged approach? Allow people to buy them or subscribe to them. Maybe offer a subscription discount based on how many eligible plugins you already own in your account, I don't know. Even not offering the discount would be preferable to not allowing a user to purchase them.

MBAs want continual revenue, simple as.

You have to load a specific midi out module

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SR_qQDGHuI

Reason is still pretty skewmorphic so if you don't have anything below your instrument or generator its a sign that a step is missing.

Pretty sure it works the same way for reason rack but.... not sure on that one...
