Smart is only leasing 250 of these in the US to test the waters. Next year, the much improved 70HP version arrives in Europe. Basically, Smart is releasing a lovely product to see if people might want to buy a slightly better product. The bad reviews the car receives might do more damage than it was worth just to lease out 250 cars in a year. I sometimes wonder if Smart's executives all worked for GM in the 1980s.
