The answer is, mate, because I want to do you slowly. There has to be a bit of sport in this for all of us. In the psychological battle stakes, we are stripped down and ready to go. I want to see those ashen-faced performances; I want more of them. I want to be encouraged. I want to see you squirm.

I read a pretty interesting article on this kind of stuff the other day, it's kinda provocative but the guy makes some good points.

Stoked for that Babicz show tonight, its billed as 'Live PA' so I'm curious to see what he brings out.

Voices from the Lake are coming next weekend, SO excited. Their album is a masterpiece and I've read their live show is great.

I dunno.. Sasha is pretty hit or miss. But then again.. If he's good that night, he's unbeatable. I've seen him once when he was good and myyyy gooood.

Got on the list for Pullen, and its 21+ instead of 18+ at Sasha so it looks like thats it for me. I'll also agree that Sasha is hit or miss. I saw him with Diggers in Miami at the Ultra afterparty a few years ago and it was incredible, then saw the two of them at Red Rocks and it was the most boring set ever, I had to leave because I felt so bad about hyping it to my friends who all spent $60 a ticket.

I'll report back about Pullen!

Babicz blew it up no question. Was kinda not digging the openers, but whatever he dropped first was solid as hell and just shook the entire drat building.

I dont think theres anyone in the entire scene that understand powerful sonics more than Babicz. Theres a reason why people like Dusty Kid want HIM to master their albums.

Agreed, Babicz is incredible. He did a guest mix on Transitions years ago and I still dig it out occasionally.

And then there's this of course, but youtube can't really do it justice:

He got through eventually around when the club was closing, but the promoters arranged for him to play at the weird after-hours club up the street that tends to attract glowstick-wielding ravers and got everyone waiting for him in for free. Not as nice a venue as where he was supposed to be but I managed to stick around for his set for two and a half hours so it worked out for the most part.
