Hydrangea is pretty solid yeah. Also just saw the Acronym album quoted above. He is insanely talented (check out mu 1). Anything on northern electronics is great too. is there a better name for what I have deemed "umek techno" it reminds me a lot of the tech-trance stuff from the early 2000s when it was a thing (i.e. marco v). also dubfire plays and produces a lot of stuff like this as well, and that grindhouse track that got super overplayed many years ago is another great example. definitely darker than most techno, but I wouldn't think of it as hard techno either. just a bit more... trancey? right, I just think of house mainly in terms of a groove and bassline, which I don't hear in that track. tech house for me is like funk d'void - diabla (heavenly mix) I actually do think of trance as a certain kind of sound, mainly a warmer/uplifting one. but different styles of trance have gotten more or less popular over time.
