I miss my old 1SG. He did such intense morning PT that I got a 300 from just doing that (I never work out on my own). I can only get a 250ish with this lame rear end PRT. You definitely can get in awesome shape through army PT, it's just you need super motivated leadership to make it happen. Also you need to throw the army PT regulations in the trash.
