Ok Comboomer posted:Supposedly theyre easy enough to rescue (debridement + air dry for a week, cut off any dead tissue) but gently caress if that hasnt got me in a sour mood. I had to dig up all of them except for the two big ones, which Im eyeing but dont seem to need it (🤞). If you're worried about the ones you think are fine you could try using some hydrogen peroxide (either 3% from the drug store or mix it with water to dilute it) as a soil drench. It's almost certainly in the pot even if the bigger plants haven't shown signs yet.

Hubis posted:Hahaha it took me a good minute to figure out WTF was going on here. That is insane/awesome. I didn't even know that kind of grafting was a thing so I was extra confused. I don't know nothin' 'bout 'nothin but this is an incredibly handsome little tree. The size of the new pot looks much better suited to it.

Ok Comboomer posted:if you need a reminder, Home Depot is liquidating all of their remaining non-Holiday trees and shrubs at 50% off. Lots of great deals to be had on junipers and picea and acers and plums and weird surprises and whatnot Mine did this like, months ago. I don't think they've got anything left

Ok Comboomer posted:aren’t you in MA? I got that tree in Salem, and the sales in Everett and Revere have been equally good Yeah but western MA. They do have some stuff left but it's mostly boxwoods, roses no one wants, and some butterfly bushes.
