I realized after reading this thread that I also have collected like 5 or 6 3b+ pi units over time. what kind of cluster stuff are y'all doing with yours? anything particularly neat? or just niche things? both?!?!?

Maybe a stupid question, but I'd like to do a cluster case and I don't want to buy a bunch of poe hats so I'm wondering, is it reasonable/practical to get some kind of powered USB hub to mount on the side of the cluster case, and then just run short USB cables out to that and power the hub so there's only one outlet space taken up? Is this a thing that's possible? Do people do this? They're all 3b+ and there would be a minimum of 4 of them and a maximum of 8.

Hopefully someone knows this, but is there a name for that type of mount? The 2 rounded tab things with the holes in them, like you'd attach to a GoPro mount?
