Thanks! I didn't have any luck with Identifont & figured that What the Font wouldn't work because of the angle.

I got linked to The Nation and thought I'd struck gold just now. It's not Mercury Display (sharper cusps, no ball on the 6, slightly smaller x-height) but it's pretty dang close.
