Hey look, I made an MTV logo. Wanna see?

WELL I DIDN'T WANT TO SHOW IT TO YOU ANYWAY!

The beginning of this one has a couple of the crazy animated bumpers that MTV used to have.

Donal Logue has been awesome since I was a kid.

Liquid television was awesome, and I'm pretty sure Aeon Flux created a few psychological issues for me.

Goddamn, MTV. You used to be cool. What happened?

That intro used to scare the poo poo out of me when I was little, but it was an 80's show, not the 90's.

I was born in 91, so I spent the entire decade watching Disney cartoons basically. Most of them were in retrospect pretty stupid, but.

If you can't quote every single line of this movie you're not rad enough to be a 90's kid :colbert:

I was born in 1980, but I still consider myself a 90's kid. Aside from the cartoons I watched as a kid and the toys I played with, most of the pop culture stuff that I hold dear is from the 90's. I guess the 90's is when I started paying attention to the world outside of my neighborhood.

The 90's is when I started going to movies on my own, and started buying my own music and listening to my own radio stations, rather than just listening to what my Dad listened to.

I still love the old GI Joe, HeMan and Transformer cartoons and toys, but by and large I have more of an appreciation of stuff that came out of the 90's rather than the 80's, as I discovered it myself rather than it just being there.

Does anyone remember the Gulf War trading cards?

Don't know why, but the old "kids making a blow pop commercial" popped into my head, and I figured it would be perfect for this thread.

I was going through my CDs this morning and that reminded me of another 90's thing, at least in my area. I'd say a good third of my CDs have a little blue "the wall" lifetime guarantee sticker on them.

I'm pretty sure there was some talk of Captain N in here, but this show was super hosed up. Here's a clip from a second season episode aired in 1990. Captain N and crew have to fight Game Boy in Burger Time.

I think this was the TV show that taught me as a child that cartoons are made by sleazy adults to make a quick buck off of kids.

I need help, I believe I'm going nuts here.

Was there some sort of "Saved by the Bell" and "Captain N" tie in at one point?

I seem to remember it being the beginning of the "Saved by the Bell" series, and Marcia Warfield was the school police officer that was trying to get Zach. For some reason they got stuck in the "Captain N" world and needed to escape it so they could get to class on time.

Someone please help me, there's nothing I can find on Google.

My girlfriend and I were talking about stupid stuff kids would draw on their classwork when we were kids. Turns out we both knew about this "S". We would see kids draw it all the time, and we even started doing it. Does anyone know its origins?

Here it is.. I don't know why I remember how to draw it, but I do..

I drew them all the time, it didn't hurt that my name begins with an S. The true masters of the "90's S" could make them in 3d.

I can't remember/search up the name of the guy with the skunk stripe in his hair who used to be on the TV Guide Channel when it was still a slow crawl of channel listings with some D-level content about celebrities or something but I saw him recently hosting some Ninja Warrior clone where people run through an obstacle course and get bashed by various padded things and fall into the mud.

Anybody remember that guy's name? It's making my brain itch.

John Henson was hilarious on Talk Soup and Wipeout makes my inner 6 year old laugh.
