I was born in 1980, but I still consider myself a 90's kid. Aside from the cartoons I watched as a kid and the toys I played with, most of the pop culture stuff that I hold dear is from the 90's. I guess the 90's is when I started paying attention to the world outside of my neighborhood. The 90's is when I started going to movies on my own, and started buying my own music and listening to my own radio stations, rather than just listening to what my Dad listened to. I still love the old GI Joe, HeMan and Transformer cartoons and toys, but by and large I have more of an appreciation of stuff that came out of the 90's rather than the 80's, as I discovered it myself rather than it just being there. John Henson was hilarious on Talk Soup and Wipeout makes my inner 6 year old laugh.
