I used to listen to Hauschka quite a bit and I think that falls under this category.

I'd also recommend (pretty sure it's crossposted in the avantgarde thread) William Basinski's "Disintegration Loops". Very relaxing couple second loops of various tape recordings that "disintegrate" over the course of the track. Some tracks are like 45 minutes long but it's interesting to see how they degrade over time and give you an odd feeling if you pay attention during the whole thing.
