That last part gave me chills for some reason. So whats the secret to being a great pool player? How should I practice?

Holy poo poo, the folly of hubris. Thanks for sharing that. It's interesting to hear about your wins and skill but then to also hear of being bettered, its almost like I'm learning the lesson too. I wish for a followup story where you meet that large guy again, being well rested, and win against him. There's just something so interesting about what makes one person better than another, and the external factors that can affect the moment of competition.
