Singh seems to work best when he's given something surreal or otherworldly to work with, where even if the script is trash, the visuals at least draw you in. You can expect new Tarsem Singh's movies aren't going to be at the same caliber visually. A huge part of the design of his movies was Eiko Ishioka, and she died shortly after Mirror Mirror.

She tends to mostly get recognition for costume design, because it's definitely at the forefront of anything she was involved in, but you can see from things like her work on Coppola's Dracula and Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters

that a lot of the visual style people associate with Tarsem Singh was due to her collaboration from the bottom up.

Not to say a Tarsem Singh movie without her is going to be bad or even worse, it's just a large part of that unique look is gone for good.

But ya, all that matters in the end is the final product. Some of the best movies ever made were total nightmares to film. I'll take ambition like this any day of the week over a competent production that doesn't take any chances.

Weren't there also rumours about Tom Hardy being enraged because Fury Road was an unconventional shoot? I don't remember any particulars, like they didn't have a concrete script or whatever, so he had loud words with George Miller.

There's a credit in the IMDB page for a "nerdy CIA staffer" so maybe a character based on him'll get a mention, but there is no Sean Smith in the credits.

Forgot about #2, which did the same thing as #5. He's on the cliff at or near the beginning. It's Hunt's first scene. He receives the main mission of the movie up there from some fancy schmancy sunglasses (don't remember but gonna bet Oakley's).

He throws them at the audience and they explode into titles and the Limp Bizkit remix of the Mission Impossible theme, wether they were Oakley's or not they were Oakley's
