Is there a way to see how much a piece of armour weighs BEFORE you buy it...?

For the quest early on where you need to find someone in the Witchwood, is it past the Encampment? Or am I just missing it?

Boy this game is harsh. Just spent about 20 minutes fighting a cyclops, got him down to a quarter health, only to be two-shot when he went berserk. My healing pawn was still alive, why can't they revive me To be fair my party was only level 7, but still...

Holy crap, I just got to the Capital, and the jump in weapon & armour prices... And here I was thinking I was pretty well-off with $30,000... is there a cheaper place to buy? Think I'll just stick with enhancing the gear I already have for now.

I've picked up so many combinable items so far... anyone got combos I can try? Or is there an NPC to speak to about that?

For the quest "A Lost Cause": Does anyone know the precise location of the snakeskin purse? I've been up and down both shores of the river north of Gran Soren, from the Nameless Falls to the mouth of the river infested with Saurians. No purse so far. Help!

Help! At the bottom of the Everfall, am I supposed to (boss fight) just keep fighting the tentacles endlessly? Do they stop eventually? Or is there something special I should be doing?

I'm thinking that it might have been a bad decision to make my main Pawn a tank. It's getting quite irritating combing though sorcerer pawn after sorcerer pawn in the Rift looking for the precise combination of heals and buffs I need. Magic-user pawns need a lot more finessing than one that just charges into battle. Although I suppose my main pawn would be a gimped magician after spending 23 levels as a fighter/warrior, right? Also, just maxed out Fighter at lvl23, sooner than I expected. Really fun class, moves remind me quite a bit of Link's from Twilight Princess. I was thinking Mystical Knight, but a few tricky spots in the Everfall convinced me that I need long-range precision attacks. So might go Assassin... What lvl were you folks when you cleared out the Quarry?

Jimbot posted:Why the class only uses 3 skills is beyond me, but any advice on real good ones to equip would be appreciated. Folks keep bringing up the 3 skills thing. Your skills are tied to your weapon in each hand. Fighters get six, for example - three for sword, three for shield. Warriors have one two-handed weapon, hence, only three skills. Three loving powerful skills. I don't particularly agree with it but it's not out of nowhere.

Question: Obviously leveling up is determined by XP, but what determines when your Vocation Rank goes up? Is it visible to the player?

Shardok posted:One Character Per Storage Device Per Profile. It just isn't as quick to say sadly. The point is. For each storage device you have you can make 1 character for each profile. So, with 4 profiles and 2 storage devices, you have 8 character slots. With 8435 profiles and 1 storage device, you have 8435 character slots. With 1 profile and 12 storage devices, you have 12 character slots and a fuckton of hard drives/flash drives/etc. You can use the same PSN ID for multiple profiles?

Man, had an amazing time playing last night. Wandering aimlessly around the coast west of the Witchwood... walked into an encampment of Hobgoblins with a Cyclops backing them up. ...escaping from there, I found myself in goddamn HELLFIRE GROVE... ...running from the Drake, I ended up in a 30-minute nighttime fight against a Chimera... and about a dozen Saurians who decided to join in the fun. I went though every single healing item in my inventory. My Pawns must've been killed a dozen times each. I fell under 100hp again and again. gently caress, even after fighting the one in the Demo, this guy was loving terrifying. I couldn't see him at all, just hear his growls in the darkness. He finally dropped as the sun was rising. I can't remember the last time a game gave me that feeling. Then I went and ran the Old Quarry. Wish I'd known that Ogres can be killed instantly with a couple of explosive barrels. Spending 10 minutes each fighting them in a cramped hallway is not my definition of fun.

I finally unlocked the vendor with the Berserk armour, and while I really want it, I'm trying to decide whether it's worth all that money... the weapons, at least, seem powerful enough to justify it.

I'm in the Rift looking at Pawns to summon, and does it make a difference whether a particular spell or ability is equipped as a Primary or Secondary skill? Will they cast it more if it's Primary, or is that determined by their personality?

What's the better sword technique when you're surrounded - Windmill Slash or Compass/Full Moon Slash? I just got Windmill and it seems cool, but lacks range.

Welp I'm stuck at the Shadow Fort. Every gate is locked, the Frontier Caverns are a dead-end, and all the holes say they're for small people. What the hell am I supposed to do? EDIT: also, it pissed me off that the "Stone of the South" turned out to be the Shadow Fort. I would've taken some drat escort quests with me if they'd used the proper name

Lotish posted:You should have found a lever in a chest. Go back to the upper level of the way you came into the courtyard and use it to open the gate. That'll bring the soldiers in. Help them clear up ALL the goblins on the map and the way will open to the boss. The only chest remaining (up on a platform to the right of the far gate), I can't get to because my goddamn Acquisitor pawns break every crate that gets within their reach. How long does it take before crates respawn?

Erm, I just started the Duke's quests, which opened up a lot more weapons at Caxton's... I then got the quest to give him the idol. I hand over my Golden Idol, rest at the inn, but his wares are the same. Did I screw up? Or do I have to wait longer?

Yeah, just getting it on PC is enough for me. To be honest, a multiplayer DD is basically my dream game. I still haven't found a game with a combat/climbing system as satisfying - Shadow of Mordor comes very close, but it's not quite there.
