The short lived Dilbert cartoon had a pretty good gag where the new product (Gruntmaster 2000) gets scooped by a competitor announcing the “Gruntmeister 3000” and the boss freaks, their product is obv dead in the water

I want to see more of that on kickstarter projects really

like look at this wacky poo poo

quote:

To prevent these conflicts, Apple split the Macintosh line into professional and consumer models. The professional line included the Classic, LC, Centris, Quadra, and Power Macintosh lines, and continued to be sold as-is (i.e., no consumer software bundles or limited features.) The consumer line was given the name "Performa", and included computers similar to the professional line.

also the New Nintendo 3DS which had (a couple) exclusive games you could not play on the Nintendo 3DS. i wonder how many parents/kids shelled out money on a physical game to find that their almost identical system could not play them.

also, any watch on kickstarter, like the KLOCK-08, CONTEMPUS, GNOMON and FitOn.

"add an option and call it super" kept sf2 alive for something like 12 years but sf3 came out about halfway through that

it gets weird because capcom generally considers a numbered street fighter to be a franchise into itself

1 was '87, 2 was '91, alpha/zero was '95, ex was '96, 3 was '97, iv was '08, and v was '16.

it was a campaign to release the source music for putt-putt saves the zoo but I have no idea if this guy actually had the original recordings or not, the campaign wasn’t at all clear on that

also rewards included the soundtrack on a box set of four LPs and I have no idea who would actually want that.
