If you activated the gatling gun, then pressed the jump and switch weapons buttons at the same time, your character model would float about 10 feet in the air and start flailing their arms up and down like they were doing an invisible drum solo. Kind of like the end of Beetlejuice.

Speaking of RDR, I haven't been able to find this video since I saw it and I wondered if anyone has it. There's a bunch of videos were human models are replaced by animals, but this one in particular was the scene where everyone is playing poker, you're accused of cheating and suddenly everyone has a gun pointed at everyone else. Only in this video, one of the poker players is a dog, and the pistol he points at you isn't even in his paw, so it looks like this psychic dog is PISSED at you for cheating at cards. It was loving hilarious and I can't find it again

This one's kind of a cheat because I tweaked the game to be invincible and have infinite ammo without reloads. You know how in GTA IV you can pull the trigger when you ragdoll and the gun just goes off however it's pointing? Yeah. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAkvBBccbL8

Introversion Software--makers of Defcon, Darwinia, and Uplink--have announced the alpha release of a game inspired by Dward Fortress called Prison Architect. The announcement video promises that people who get the alpha will "enjoy exclusive access to GAME BREAKING BUGS" such as all of the prisoners heads being replaced by random sprites, prisoners taking food from the canteen to eat naked in the showers, and everyone getting an electric drill following a save and reload. Alpha releases are sometimes more entertaining than the final just for the amazing bugs that can occur.

Mind you, this was a couple of years ago, so maybe a fan has patched that glitch or maybe I should just play the original unpatched version, then patch it after the tutorial or something.

One thing I miss was a big glitch gag reel they made that's similar to the Octodad one posted earlier where they showed a whole bunch of ridiculous stuff that happened way early in development. Things like landing from a jump causing the character to pancake to the ground like a cartoon, hitting random on the character creation screen and turning into a box, an NPC in a cutscene running around on fire in the background until exploding into a giant torrent of blood, etc. They stopped letting people copy the video off of the shared drives, and unfortunately I didn't get it before they did.

This happened in the first Deus Ex so often I stopped thinking of it as a glitch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7azNpid9rGQ I'm not sure if it's a glitch or three-dimensional thinking, but in one stage there is a boss (Howard Strong, I think) standing at the bottom of a missile silo. The normal strategy is to fight your way down the silo and then fight him as he stands in a cherry-picker throwing grenades at you. The alternate way of doing it is just throwing yourself down the silo and landing on his head, killing him instantly. Also, at one point in the game you either accept capture, or let yourself get shot to death (which also leads to capture anyway), but if you let the NPC's try to kill you and throw down your gear before death your weapons appear in your prison cell (via glitch). So basically you can tell your enemy to kill you, throw your weapons on the floor, smoke cigarettes while taking bullets to the chest, then blast your way out of prison with a rocket launcher. I love that game.

Semi-crossposting this from the City of Heroes thread, because this came up, but I have a favorite recent one from Champions Online. I can say a lot of bad things about that game, but perhaps a backhanded compliment I can give is that it doesn't half-rear end things going wrong. If they have to perform maintenance because the game chat is acting up, it's not 'oh it's cutting off messages' or 'the profanity filter isn't working'. When CO chat is acting up, nobody in the game can say anything. This actually happened I think last year, for a weekend nobody could send any messages because their new voice chat system somehow broke the text chat too. But that isn't what I'm bringing here, although it is pretty good. A few weeks ago, the game introduced a new event, the Mega-Destroid Invasion. Where Doctor Destroyer, the big evil Doctor Doom-style supervillain and main antagonist, pushed a full-scale invasion. The big focus was an attack by the Mega-Destroid robots on Champions HQ, of course, which needed multiple teams to go up against it. Most of this is hearsay, I didn't participate in it because it was up for one day, before it had to go down to fix an issue. The issue? Somehow, some part of the main fight would revert people's characters to level 1. That's it, all your progress, somehow completely erased. It gets worse, too; outside of the tutorial, level 1s don't exist, the lowest level player or enemy possible otherwise is level 6. So that's it, you're hosed, until support comes to help you you're completely incapable of doing anything.

Funny glitch in World of Warcraft that happened with one of the latest patches(sadly it's fixed already though). Druids have a form called travel form, which is a Stag. With a glyph you can make it so other players can ride on you as a mount. There was also a glitch going around where Druids who were mounted could shapeshift, so they'd be riding something in animal form. I think you can see where this is going... People loved this glitch so much Blizzard is even putting an item version of it in the game's next patch.

A different glitch plagued all copies of this Rocky game I believe. There was a crouching jab move that you could perform, and the AI just could not loving deal with it. You could hammer away at that one button and the AI would just run into it, over and over.

I recall a pretty hilarious physics glitch in Fallout 3. I was wandering around Megamart with a new, low-level character when I came across a scavenger and his pet Yao-Gui (I giant, mutated bear). I decided to take a risk and threw a grenade at the bear in VATS. The grenade landed directly beneath the bear, and while the blast didn't kill it, it did send the beast flying into the atmosphere. Awestruck, I proceeded to kill the bear's owner and then the bear came back down to earth, not far from where it began its failed space flight, dying from the impact.
