This happened in the first Deus Ex so often I stopped thinking of it as a glitch

I'm not sure if it's a glitch or three-dimensional thinking, but in one stage there is a boss (Howard Strong, I think) standing at the bottom of a missile silo. The normal strategy is to fight your way down the silo and then fight him as he stands in a cherry-picker throwing grenades at you. The alternate way of doing it is just throwing yourself down the silo and landing on his head, killing him instantly.

Also, at one point in the game you either accept capture, or let yourself get shot to death (which also leads to capture anyway), but if you let the NPC's try to kill you and throw down your gear before death your weapons appear in your prison cell (via glitch).
So basically you can tell your enemy to kill you, throw your weapons on the floor, smoke cigarettes while taking bullets to the chest, then blast your way out of prison with a rocket launcher. I love that game.

This, a thousand times. I wish more games had the courage to give you the freedom to break it. Tricks like sniping The End while he's in his wheelchair so he's not a boss later, making the dangerous "reverse path" run to Darkroot basin via the Valley of the Drakes in :darksouls: or juicing your way to being a demigod for ten seconds in Morrowind... that's what I want more of in single-player games.

The freedom to break a game multiplies my chances of replaying it by many many times. Morrowind is really the best example of this. You could enchant a ring of regeneration enough to where you can just walk around in the sun as a vampire (probably in terrible pain), thus not experiencing any drawbacks of vampirism other than nightmares.

From Far Cry 3, a video of what happens when a body gets stuck in a car seat:
