Not to sperg out here - and the OP probably meant this tongue-in-cheek - but it's silly to call 40k a Starcraft rip-off, since the books predate the video game by a decade. Anyway, Eisenhorn is an awesome book, highly recommended. It's good enough to immerse yourself in even if you don't know much about the whole 40K universe.
