That white tape on the duct joints? ASBESTOS, sucka! Not only are you paying out the rear end for heating, you're probably going to get cancer, too. But there's something about them that is undeniably cool. They're from the 1880's - 1940's, yet many of them are still working perfectly today, mainly because there's no moving parts. And come on...they just look cool.

I live in the upper story of a house with a still-functioning octopus furnace. And it's an early model even for that.

If I paid utilities, I would hate it. But I don't and therefore it is bitchin'.
