I haven't read Umineko for a long while, since ep 5 I think. So I'll be able to following this thread though I have to say it going to be take some time to get used to the newer art.

An issue with Higurashi is that its original art was even worse than Umineko's original art, and Umineko's original art was terrible. Such is the curse of the author also being the artist. If you read it, make sure to get a version with the updated art.

But that was part of the charm of the original game.
