THE AWESOME GHOST posted:That chart says minors of US Citizens can apply for a green card... aren't minors automatically naturalized if parents are citizens? At least I thought that's how it works, that if I have children they'll be US Citizens regardless. I thought it didn't matter where they are born. If you have a US parent you are a citizen or eligible for citizenship. Minors also are naturalized if the parent is naturalized. Retro Access posted:For the getting married part, you don't have to do anything different from anyone else, just file at the county registry or whatever it is (we had to sign some documents but i can barely remember) then get married however you like. Just get married. Even if all you do is goto a justice of the peace. It's quick and easy. If you're married permanent residence status (green card) will be granted quicker and you can apply for naturalization after only 3 years instead of 5 years.
