On a slightly different note, I've always been aware of Albert Lee, but I never knew how amazing he was until I started actually checking out his playing:

Good glory, he's like the Eddie Van Halen of country guitar or something.

Because country isn't really my main thing, I only recently discovered Jerry Reed and I'm addicted. I don't even know how I came across him, maybe GTA V, but I started looking around and found this great version he does of "Halleluljah I Love Her So":

The piano-inspired style he plays is great. He also looks like playing guitar is a genuinely joyful experience, which is also fantastic. I bought "Nashville Underground" and can't stop listening to it; granted, it's a bit more on the pop side, but I love it when he does that funky syncopated stuff like on "Fine On My Mind" and "Tupelo Mississippi Flash." I also picked up "Jerry Reed Explores Guitar Country" (which was excellent) and Chet Atkins' "Me and Jerry." Are there any records where it's just him and a nylon-stringed guitar?
