Decided to update the character section a bit because it was terribad. Might update the OP and replace the gifs with actual good and cool footage of cool stuff happening. Link me some nice gifs if you want. Also, people are really having fun messing around with Mai. She's turning out to be a good character after all.

 Photo mode in DOAX3 reveals a lot of the corner cutting they did when making the island. Some of the areas they set up for photo mode were never supposed to be used outside of the title screen.

PSN trophies will also unlock on a US account. The best way to play the game is to add a Hongkong PSN account at the home screen (it takes all of 5 minutes) and use it to play the game. Anything related to DLC or any PSN giveaways are limited to the Asia accounts. The DLC will work on a US account as long as it's downloaded to an Asian account set to primary, but there is a cash option for buying swimsuits in game that will only work when using an Asia PSN. A free to play version with just Kasumi and no casino games can be downloaded through the HK store if anyone wants to see if their friend would like the game. Can I say, before the thread inevitably closes, that I've followed you guys for years because this is one of the chillest threads I've seen. I don't even play the game, not since 3, and still fascinated to see what y'all think of the game as it evolves. Is this world wide or mainly focused on Japanese sites? I just learned that doa5lr was now core fighters on PC and was able to try it out. Are there any game mode mods out there? All I see are costume mods.

What I wish were true is that the executives took notice of the PSVR video and started a cleanup operation on the brand. What probably happened is they wanted to make sure that DOAX3 bikinis and pole dance tickets were the only way to see the girls in anything sexy.

Patch 1.09 is out, though it's mostly just minor fixes and nothing major. The touching shown in the teaser was removed and it's just controlling the camera in the various existing event replay modes with the headset. The trailer video is edited to make it look like the girls interact with the player, but it's the camera face tracking that was added in an earlier patch. Just a quick random look at the player before going back to the pre-determined animation. The fan is disabled (thus preventing any interaction with the girl by blowing her clothes off) and the PS4 Pro gets a slight graphical boost. It's free to download with the full version until the end of February in Japan and hasn't yet been announced for Asia English copies. After that, it's 1,500 yen. Free to play copies will not get it free but they offer a discounted bundle with Honoka and Marie Rose unlocks. Owner level 30 is required to access the mode as that's when the first replays open up.

Most of the development time seems to be shifted towards Nioh apparently, still. The last batches of DLC may also be the last few, though I don't see any further balance patches coming up any time soon. Majors will still be going on in US and Japan though, so they'll hopefully keep the game alive.

The high end community is all but dead now, and it's mostly just casuals left playing now. The few A's and up still playing are all bad so I guess we just wait for DOA6 now.

It might still take a year or two at the very least before they even start showing anything doa6 related, otherwise it'll get overshadowed by tekken 7. Also they haven't even added any new x3 characters yet and it took them this long to release the VR patch for that game.

Do they even have intentions to add more girls to x3 at all? They seemed pretty set on just the initial cast, and what the hell, is everyone a pedophile? How the hell did Marie rose get the #1 spot? How did a design like that ever get approved? Anyways I never seen them comment on roster updates for that game. But I don't even own a ps4 so I'm not really looking.

Yeah X3 is a cash grab. I got the F2P version but casino and other characters are locked behind paywalls. Nothing that special. LR on the other hand is still played in arcades but it gets streamed less often these days. The Japanese are in a pretty comfortable place with the game in general.

Well a 19.99 Taipei currency card is like 500 in whatever funny money they use, each girl is 300 something or so, so yea you'd pay close to 120 bucks, maybe more if you wanted all the characters, keep in mind I'm not including casino mode in this either.

Apparently Casino is a must for most people since you'd actually get locked out of a lot of card play quests if you don't have it and lose of easy money and xp. I honestly don't know what to do with my f2p version. It's probably gonna sit there until they add jetskis or surfing. Or like a shooting mini game. The game is absolutely incomplete and they're still charging 50 bucks for it so yeah, I don't see this game being on TN's priority list when Nioh DLC #300 is out or Ninja Gaiden 4 is announced.
