Ironic RPG Maker games!

NEStalgia! I remember people liking this. don't vote for this.

Vizati, this was a puzzle game that was in one of those many indie bundles. Didn't look terrible.

Towns, the already known people management sim trying to be a simpler Dwarf Fortress

DLC Quest, was popular on Xbox

I kind of suspect that this won't actually reduce the amount of poo poo Valve needs to wade through, it just means they'll be wading through reports of porn and copyright infringement rather than actual porn and copyright infringement.

I guess that's an improvement for them?

Also see another developer doing the same "I'm making it myself why are you so mean :qq:"

EDIT: Just noticed the last screenshot is straight up from World at War and you can see how poo poo the others are in comparison.

That's the game I was talking about where the creator is deleting all negative comments. He had a meltdown on SA a couple months back and started banning goons for criticizing him in the old NEStalgia thread, which then got gassed due to the drama explosion. He wasn't exactly a top notch developer even before that, so I really can't recommend anyone upvote that under any circumstances, or give the creator any money.

The start of the drama bomb in the old NEStalgia thread can be seen here, but for the mods' sake, let's leave it at that. I'm linking it just so you can see why you shouldn't upvote NEStalgia on Greenlight. Leave the drama in the gas chamber where it belongs.

I would love if Steam would ban the accounts of users uploading either content that isn't owned by them or really doesn't even belong on the Greenlight page to begin with. Or maybe just bar them from accessing Greenlight. This whole idea is stupid.

Hopefully, the actually good games will get some traction outside of Greenlight and people can then just go straight to their Greenlight page and upvote them, whereas the crap will be unknown outside of Greenlight itself and will die quietly.

Gems like Kinetic Void can probably get enough grassroots marketing, like here, to actually make a good initial swell of support, and then maybe they'll have a "most popular" window or something.

I seriously sympathize with Steam's indie acceptance process now that we have seen a glimpse of the chaos they had to face on a constant basis. For every La Mulana and Armageddon Empires that slipped through the cracks, we get...well...

By finding it here, on GAF, Reddit, etc. Soon, if not already, there won't be any real way of finding good stuff with the terrible sort functionality on Greenlight. People can always click links, though. Its not such a bad thing, really. Word of mouth will do what it does.

I'm getting a little choked that I can't view the list of games without logging out. Take away my voting if you have to, but at least let me browse.
