It's a shame it ended, PG the character has potential, but I guess the Amanda Conner art was carrying it. Mister Roboto fucked around with this message at 19:14 on Sep 16, 2012 |

Aw, spoilers guys, I hadn't read that Spider-Men issue yet. I get that the scene doesn't really ruin anything, but still, it's nice to have some suspension of belief about what goes down. Maybe we should wait a little while before posting panels (badass or funny) from newer issues, just out of courtesy to other BSSers?

I mean, I thought the official rule was that anything was fair game after it was available for purchase, and while it might be nice to put in a rule for all these "post your favorite panel" threads, the issue arises of where to draw the line. A week or two? Just for politeness sake, the community's pretty good here so I can't see anyone really kicking up a fuss they can't post scans within the first few hours, yeah? As someone who is pretty new to comics and constantly go back and forth between runs, it's annoying, but not a big deal. Yeah, I get that, but it's way different when it literally just came out. Sometimes it takes a day or a week to go out and hit the comic shop, life's busy sometime. A few months or years is totally understandable, though. ASM 600

Random Stranger posted:Yeah, that was late sixties so the eye beams were pretty firmly established. It was the 40's and 50's that were generally the new power every issue era. Huh, that makes that Superman Is A Jerk even more strange than usual since he could literally kill them with a glance instead of, you know, shooting them.

I like how the old comic is still refusing to keep up with the times and keeping JJJ as a crusty old newspaper editor behind an old desk. Other Spiderman comics have updated him to a a logical modern version of him as an angry public multiMedia Mogul, like Rupert Murdoch, which is a brilliant update. But this version, yep, Stan Lee's not changing, no sir.

His early work shows far more effort in the detail, these are all from Preacher from about 15+ years ago: And for a funny panel :
