An old high school friend who moved away asked me for a beat a little while ago. Also some Lana Del Ray-esque sad girl singer is working on a track of mine and its very moody so far. It'll be a nice change of pace for me

Wait so compressing until it sounds good to me isn't the right route? My old room mate/friend/squad/frequent collaborator is in Japan visitin his fam and since he can't smoke weed has been dicking around with piano compositions and sending them to me to work with.
