Hey guys, it's me again. I just put a mixtape out last night featuring production from Chwoka and Ayatollah Hermione. I'd really appreciate it if I could get some analysis on what I can improve about my mixing process, writing, presentation...anything really. Thanks in advance for taking a look Ladle Lady fucked around with this message at 23:42 on Apr 23, 2013 |

The Rubberbandit posted:You've gotten better at rapping, the confidence comes through on the track. thanks for your insight, i'm glad to hear things are improving, haha. i'm just adding the reverb to the vocals directly, yeah. I'll try the delay thing. the doubled vocals not exactly lining up was a conscious choice but yeah, I can see how it wouldn't work for someone hearing the songs initially. I'll definitely try putting the vocals more forward in future songs and yeah, please take a crack at a mix on any tracks you want to. I'd love to hear it.

Alright fellas, I put this up at the start of the month and I've been getting a lot of good feedback about it. Bearing that in mind, I decided I wanted to show it to y'all in the hopes that I'll get some real, in-depth critique on it. That, and it features production from our very own THNDRTHF, lanzy and ashgromnies. The gist of what I was going for lyrically was just trying to find different niches to fill with each track. Anyway, please take a listen to F O R M S https://wormwoodmt.bandcamp.com

So I'm re-approaching the beats I have cause I still really like them/want to use them for something. sooo soon hopefully! I am actually going through some life stuff myself that's interrupting my schedule hard but it'll be over by the end of the month.

I love the echoy sounds on just about everything but the snare, and the breakdown :58 in is charged. this is a hot one! I would rap over any JCW beat no question. I just followed you on SC (Wormwoodrapper), I realize its kinda egocentric to just be like 'yo I can rap over your stuff and make better' but i'd honestly be beyond stoked to get some stuff from you.

Hey guys, been a minute! I wanted to come by and plug my latest thing. It's got some goon-produced joints (Bookkeeper and You're Number One, what's up Space Camp! Armed Locust and Take It Easy are Formal Bad's beats) but yet again I'm coming to y'all looking for some fresh, sharp and most importantly knowledgeable eyes on the project. I handled almost all the mixing and I think I may have even started to figure out mastering. Any thoughts/critiques in that area would be most welcome. Here's the link: http://wormwoodmt.bandcamp.com/ I really appreciate the things I've learned both from observing and interacting with you guys, I really hope it sounds like I'm learning something!

I've been experimenting with cypher style sessions at the end of my shows and they go alright...trying to find ways to improve them though. I was thinking a little flash card style 'here's the deal' type thing but that seems weird
