So it's Processing most of the time and PS to incorporate line relief if that's there. Pixel sorting is fun. That being said, as pretty as the end result a few lines down is, Processing can't create this:  That's the moment I realized I knew exactly what the gently caress I was doing in Audacity. You can use just about every effect in Audacity. It just takes some (boredom/sobriety-boredom) to whittle down acceptable variables for most situations, test them, and code them down. When I play with Audacity it's almost exclusively for -- well, the above. I popped each of the below out in 2-7 minutes for a thing I do most nights for an hour.

I have, as of a few posts ago, more or less moved entirely to Processing. I still love Audacity. Processing and I go back way further and I'm working both on a toolkit for Processing and a VST for Audacity. Here's my dumb face in the same fashion:

most of the day was spent tweaking processing stuff so p much all of my stuff for the past few days are reference points to see if things are doing what i want them to do. so, uh. here some of those reference points are. i know the sketch-looking one isn't /glitch/ per-se. it was the framework for a Kof sketch that is about to start drawing glitches and i thought it was pretty so... it's there too.             this is p much my favorite thread.

Take picture. Run through Processing. Base vectors established; export map. (1) Second run through Processing. Shadow vectors established; export map. (2) Call Twitter API via Python. Pull latest tweets. Check input variable; currently word/mood/etc (the guts used to run my Raspberry Pi Twitter mood lamp). Compute mood for color (C); compute instances for generative variable (G); compute hashtag use for intensity (I). (G) and (I) make out some. Export (G)(I)'s lovechild (A); send with (C) to Processing. Call image. I was working on something that would take a bunch of small pictures, appropriately order per picture, then do a few effects. This didn't do anything I had hoped it would do but it still looked p cool.  I hate Processing. I can't quit Processing.

I have 19 days to get to Bangkok. For a year. They're a day ahead of us so they expect me in 18. Jesus gently caress. I took 3 minutes out of working on the [as] commission. I'm pretty sure since they sent the contract Tuesday I can officially say, "Hey. I'm working on something cool for [as]. They'll be using it for Off the Air related things." without feeling like I'm going to jinx it. Either way I made this. I have so much poo poo to do. I just got over being sick for around 10 days. I've been sick since I learned I need to be in Bangkok by the 19-20th. This is going to be a poo poo show. Or it's going to be a sad show and I get to humbly return the $1500 raised by life.indiegogo by my friends in the past 9 days. I get myself into some weird poo poo.
