About $250 or so on average to get a set of euro lights. I honestly kinda like the round lights. They're sealed beams and really suck, so I'm trying to find an easy projector conversion. I think the e30 projector headlights might just fit.

If they're the standard H6024 7" lights, Hella makes a retrofit housing that takes an H4 bulb. I'll probably pick some up for the Nova eventually. I think they usually run $40-$45 per side. Plus bulbs.

E34 lights are similar to E30s, and are far cheaper. May look into that if you're on a budget.

I got them as a kit with both lights and bulbs for $70 on amazon prime. You can even get them E-code, which I did. They have the modern hard cutoff beam pattern with the angle up to the right. savesthedayrocks posted:Ive seen this term before, but haven't figured out what it's referring to. Can you explain the e-code and why you would get lights that are e-code? European lighting regulations versus DOT. They allow a lot more light high up on the passenger side. They're technically illegal but since they're not likely to blind oncoming traffic anywhere a DOT light wouldn't also do the same, it'd be very rare to get caught out on it (unlike a lovely HID retrofit).

I started a new one HERE for the T5 motor conversion, it's on page 3 or 4. As soon as my friend finishes welding my oil pan I'll have an update.

Since I don't work Thursdays, I decided the Subie wasn't dirty enough so I grabbed the dog and off we went to the mountains for an adventure. Our ultimate destination. Amazing how low the water level is. Where I'm standing is normally under feet of water. Kazik, checking out his surroundings. All packed up and ready to start heading back. I really like the Subaru AWD, have to admit. I've had FWD and RWD cars, but this is my first AWD one and it's really been growing on me. some of the view There are some really tight switchbacks on this trail, really impressed on how well she does in the corners. Back on pavement, it's even better. This thing really grips. Mission success!

The 159 could only be had with the boring GM-derived engines, you have to go back to the pre-facelift 156 to get a twinspark.

This is how you properly station wagon I have to drop off that turd of an engine to slow_is_fast and change it out for another turd going somewhere else. Maybe I'll remember to take a video of the self leveling suspension doing its thing. It's badass loading it down to the bump stops, firing up the engine and watching it pump up to ride height

I had both a twin-spark and JTS 156 and the JTS was easily the better engine. Sounded about the same, had heaps more power and torque and used noticeably less fuel. 'course the JTS did lean out and melt a piston, but who buys an Alfa for reliability?

Hey wagon folks, what would you do? We want to get my wife a wagon so she can haul dog and babby and occasional long (up to 6') items with ease. I currently have a Saabaru but she doesn't like driving MT. We were looking at TSX wagons but want something with a little more guts and AWD. Option 1: 3.0 Outback wagon with some suspension fuckery to improve handling Option 2: E46 or E91 wagon and a cheap pickup when we need to move big stuff E61 wagon is out, A6 avant is out, Legacy GT is out, CTS wagon is out, Volvo and Saab are out.

Outback for sure. The only downfall of the 3.0 is auto-only. They are otherwise the best outback.

It's great, and the suspension was modified to be slightly higher than normal. I got great clearance and the manual really makes it fun when thrashing it in the mountains.

Yeah, she wants AT only and the 2.5i with the MT is good, with the AT it's a little too slow, so I guess we'll be paying the premium for the Bluetooth will be a necessity and I don't want to hack up the stereo, so I'd really like to find a 2007-2009 since they have factory aux in and I can plug in a BT receiver to that and tap power somewhere. I like the grilles of the 2007s better but the 2008s and 2009s have SI Drive which is a good thing I guess?

They're cheap and fit the criteria? http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/648220436/overview/ You can find higher mileage examples (but still under 100k) for low teens now with the 304hp V6 and AWD. Incidentally, they appear to be highly reliable too, which can't be said for either those Subarus or BMWs.
