Things like the EPA and Lifeline telephone service were passed by GOP elected officials and signed by Nixon so the left wing couldn't take credit for them. It was a pretty well calculated strategy to appear less evil. It failed, nobody remembers those were GOP initiatives. So start correcting people; they aren't Obamaphones, they're Nixon phones.
