The F Plus is best described as that in audio form. To be more specific, each episode lasts about an hour and consists of reading things that people really fetishise, believe or are just plain idiots about and then proceeding to mock the poo poo out of it. The topics in question can be something as simple as terrible recipes and cooking ideas, really bad OKCupid profiles... or they can be the kind of creepy you get from PUAs, or even adult babies. Though sometimes you get the just plain weird topics like wrapping Roy Orbison (and only Roy Orbison) in clingfilm. So, if it's the kind of thing that's either flatout terrible or just plain weird it's either already got an episode (or two!) dedicated to it, or it'll inevitably happen eventually. There's only 84 episodes at the time of writing, so there's plenty of crazy to take in already either way.  (click for large) So, just who are the brave, unfortunate souls who actively put up with these things? Well... there's 15 regular hosts with a slew of additional guests too. It's not as bad as it sounds though, since there's only ever a few people on any given episode so you get a pretty good variety of people to listen to. And it's quite a distinct variety too, ranging from completely random goons to other people podcasts and even including burlesque model Ophelia Flame at one point. So, what's a good episode to start with? Personally, I'd recommend the Roy Orbison episode linked above, the first WikiHow episode, the TVTropes episode or if you just want pure crazy then your best bet is the Pokegirls episode.  On the flipside, there's also Irregular which is made and run by the same people as The F Plus. In Irregular, however, rather than explicit mockery it's more of an interesting discussion with the more sane members of certain groups. There's only three episodes of Irregular thus far, however, so you're not really spoilt for choice. If that's more your kind of thing, you can choose between self-published erotica authors, self-described asexuals or the usual internet standby of furries. There really is something for everyone in either of these, so you really can't go wrong picking one at random to listen too! The early episodes are a bit rough, though, but that's on more of a technical level than the content. Still worth mentioning so you're not too surprised by it.

I started listening regularly after the Earwolf Challenge, and its become one of my favorites. A couple other ones I would recommend are "Go Get 'Em Tiger" where they read personal ads from pounced.org (kinky furries), and a recent one about quicksand fetishists was good too. The only downside is sometimes there are long gaps between episodes.

By far and away my favorite podcast. I love the humor, the voices they do....the fact that Lemon laughs like a madman every thirty seconds or so. The only downside is the gaps between episodes, like Maerlyn said, and the fact that I get pretty bummed whenever Bunnybread isn't there. Still, it's a five star podcast either way.

I'm still making my way through the archive, so I don't know how things have developed on this front recently, but so far I'm really enjoying how they've started to riff on the material a bit more than before. I found the earlier episodes had more of a focus on the doing a reading and then moving on, which didn't really appeal to me as much.

I wish that they wouldn't have so many people on a Skype call and I wish that they would just go by their real names but other than that this show is really good. It's been a long time since I've actively looked for the truly terrible parts of the internet and as awful as goons are they're rarely quite this bad.

I'm subscribed to their feed and thoroughly enjoy listening, when a new episode pops up. A bit more consistency on the crew would be nice, the regulars are good as a whole, but some of the rarely heard people are dodgy. Speaking of favourites, I'm partial to the Sinead O'Connor episode.

Hey folks, Isfahan from the F Plus here. I'm pretty sure Bunnybread and I are the only folks with SA accounts, though I could be wrong. Anyway, I submitted F Plus to the comedy podcast megathread awhile back in the hopes it'd at least get on some new radars. For those of you curious about the updating schedule, we're trying to keep it as steady as possible, but there are periods where we're lean and periods where we have a queue of episodes to put up. There are also recordings which fall flat, meaning the material didn't turn out to be as funny as we'd first hoped, and recordings which are just nightmares to edit. I want to say, of all our readers, only a few of us actually have the time to edit regularly, so it can be a bit of a bottleneck at times. In any case, I'm glad you folks can find something to enjoy! There are some incredibly bottomless sources of content that we have to be careful not to gorge on (Tumblr, most recently) since we try to keep the subject matter varied. We definitely have our favorites too.

Dramatic-reading episodes are definitely my favorites. The Transformers episode, the Resident Evil/CSI scripts episode, the Kindleporn episode, and the transformation/burp-fetish fanfiction episodes are pretty much at the top of my list. Wesley Crusher: Teenage gently caress Machine was a special edit that Jimmyfranks did, and it received a bit more effort than what is put into our usual stuff because it was shorter and really needed the full audiobook treatment.

The F Plus makes my commute to Los Angeles less unbearable  My favorite episodes are the ones like Help Me Help Rob Help You, which just focus on dumb Internet people asking dumb questions. Ignorance of the Law is My Excuse still cracks me up on repeated listens.

This is one of my favorite podcasts and if you want a good starting point I think you can't do better than one of the fan suggestion episodes. One features an asian supremacist who believes she is God "pronounced WIN" and the other has sock transformation fetishism. They are really both amazing and I listen to them all the time.

As Isfahan mentioned, though, it also has some sweet belching fanfic smuttery. It's good stuff. As for favorites, I need to second the Pokegirls episode. You can hear Portaxx be emotionally destroyed over the course of an hour. There's also a good deal of variety in the Plenty Of Fish episode. You get Isfahan nearly eating the microphone as he EXPLAINS HOW CALM HE IS NOW! Stog is in prime Stogging form. And, finally, there's Jack Chick breaking down into laughter seizures while Lemon proselytizes to him. Plus, blowjobs as far as the eye can see! Also, sup. Glad we're making people happy/disgusted.

I like to enjoy listening to podcasts while I cook or bake. I made the mistake of doing that with an episode of The F Plus recently. Won't be doing that again.  (It was the one where there was ranch dressing in nearly every recipe.) Otherwise, I really dig the show. Just gotta listen to it while I'm doing other things.

It's a real shame that this podcast doesn't get much love from people around here. I typically can't listen to podcasts multiple times but there's a lot of episodes of The F Plus that just work over and over again. The only issue I have with it is that the heavy editing makes the episodes seem really quickly paced sometimes. Like someone else said before, there's always more of an emphasis on getting all the funny material out there. I guess I think it might be better to leave the presenters more room to comment on the readings, like someone else said before. At this point the presenters are all established enough that I think it would be good to bring their personalities more into the mix.

When editing, it's definitely a bummer to leave stuff on the cutting-room floor, but we've gotten much much better about it in the past year or so. We used to have raw recordings approaching two hours which editors would then have to pare down into an hour of body material at most, leaving time for stingers, bumpers, and theme-appropriate music to put it at about 70 minutes. Our recordings are much leaner now, and the stuff getting cut is usually stuff you wouldn't want to hear in a podcast anyway, like dead air, folks finding what they're supposed to be reading, long unusable tangents, reactions on visual components, etc. In the past, the extra material would usually be released as a short later on, but nowadays we've gotten good enough that nearly everything worth listening to anyway makes it into the edited episode.

This podcast is remarkably entertaining. I don't find the public shaming or deliberately making people uncomfortable all that enjoyable. I actually didn't really care for the Pokegirl episode. Many of the readings, though, are just fantastic and are my favorite part. And despite the mocking going on, there seems to be some understanding of the community instead of just pointing and laughing. For instance, on the waifu episode a few people knew at least enough about it not to make it seem like they're picking on people. It's true that often the people in question have distorted and self-destructive feelings and should not ever have been encouraged (or decided on their own) to make them public, but they are people nevertheless. The existence of The Irregular is good evidence that they aren't trying to merely exploit them for fun. My favorite so far is the creepypasta one. (I don't have the number, but it is title is "The Episode is Coming From Inside Your House!" from February of 2012). The voice acting on the Barney story is simply amazing, especially the dad. He plays it so straight and so well that it doesn't feel like a poorly-written story but an actual radio comedy piece.

Those are the exhibits. The truly reprehensible people that we actually dislike are usually folks making reality worse for other people in the actual non-Internet world, like RooshV and the PUAs. As a personal example, I loving love video games, but I think the Escapist is a terrible site that is up its own rear end. I think this because I've managed to keep a sense of perspective about why I enjoy video games and why hanging out on the Escapist is not appealing to me. Ulli Haarbürste (his last name means literally "hairbrush" in German) is not a real person, no. Some of us were aware of him before the episode, as the clingfilm stories enjoyed something akin to the Web-1.0 version of viral fame. Others were not, but even after being brought up to speed on the background of the Ulli persona, everyone agreed that the material was delightful and worthy of a read. After the episode was released, some folks tripped over themselves to point out "Hey you know that guy's not real, right?" but again, we were reading the stories on their own merits. "Real" or not, the stories have a charm and genius to them that can't be faked. Consider, for example, the famous worst-fanfiction-ever: My Immortal. People have long debated on whether or not this thing is "real," but I think they're missing the point. The work is famous for reasons entirely separate from that. Two possibilities exist: Either My Immortal was written as a "real" story and shows off the degree to which modern young people can aggressively reject education, criticism, and their own impulses to feel satisfaction with the quality of their work, or My Immortal was written poorly on purpose, so masterfully balancing elements of the genuine and the absurd that, even if you believe it's fake, you could still see some teenage girl writing it "for real" and posting it in blissful ignorance. In that way, the fake story rings true, and that's a warped but nonetheless valid display of skill all its own. The story can draw notoriety from either possibility—and it has for both, which is why it's so well-known. I've read "bad" fanfiction which is obviously, obviously a self-aware writer trying to write poorly for a quick grab at e-fame. These writers think writing bad on purpose is easier than writing well, or at least that it takes less effort. That isn't exactly the case, and we can all of us smell a phony from a mile away, even if we're not entirely sure how we do it.
