Like presumably it's the best material, why are they only reading one of the two? Or is it not the best? Maybe the themes are too similar (though the brief summary doesn't usually suggest this)? I miss when the choice would be fake, when it was between a boring one and a really interesting one. It's always disappointing when the readers pick differently than me.
