My 99 explorer has 157k miles and from what I can tell no chain rattle, or if there is one I cant tell if I have it. When that thing goes I'm just gonna junk it.

Another presumptuous craigslister told me to send him a history report from Carfax or the like or else he wasn't going to drive 2 hours to see it. I always see that as buyer responsibility and told him as much, so I haven't heard from him since. If you're not willing to spend $30 or whatever it is (and if it's something you apparently hold in high regard - I don't personally) then you're probably just some bullshit tire kicker anyway. Much like other two folks who I've shown the car already.

It costs $7 for a legit carfax. I'd pay that to potentially sell a car.
