Saitama wouldn't let them go on for 15 pages, though. Genos got in barely two panels of :words: before Saitama told him to give it to him in "one short and simple sentence of max. 10 words".

I recently discovered this manga and loved it! I hope it will keep it up and not dissolve into an uncomprehensible mess...

Saitama killing dudes in one punch never get old and I love that the author often makes you ponder if he finally found his match.

I think it should be short, it doesn't seems to be the thing to have more than a handfull of volumes.

Hate to break it to you, but the original version already has over 70 chapters, and I think it's still ongoing.

By the way, the new chapter should be out and probably scanlated any day now. Murata's a little late because he's been putting some last touches on a bunch of extra stuff that's going out with the volumes (which drop on December 4th!).

I feel like the odd man out, because while I find this a stunning looking and interesting manga I don't find it parcticularly funny. I read through all 18 chapters yesterday and can only recall laughing out loud once, which was at the punch in the balls. Maybe I'm just juvenile or something I guess. I do find it interesting enough to keep reading at the very least, and it's definitely great looking so I'm hoping that it'll get more fun as things go on with the introduction of more heroes and so on, but everyone else keeps praising it's humor and I'm just not feeling it :(

I think I was expecting the wrong thing though when I read it for a start, because the OP made me think it'd be more thought provoking than it is with the line that it was about the main character having an early mid life crisis and pondering the nature of strength etc. There's a bit of that, but not nearly as much as I was expecting. Oh well.

Humor is subjective, so who cares? Now, if you said that the art wasn't all that good it would be another matter altogether.

There was a oneshot chapter of Onepunch-Man in the latest issue of Miracle Jump. I'm guessing that Murata (or ONE, maybe) wanted to give readers of the new OPM a chance to see a couple of the most popular characters a little early, since it's gonna be months until they show up if Murata sticks to his current schedule.

It was glorious. :allears:

Boon will probably get onto it soon enough. If he doesn't then I'll do it when I have the time, I guess.

To me, the humor is in seeing what is a relatively traditional shonen manga setup (Genos would be the main character of his own book anywhere else, and the House of Evolution arc would have lasted at least a volume) be completely and utterly destroyed by a main character who is already the strongest being in the universe. Saitama accidentally activated God Mode, and everyone else is either dumbfounded or upset that their rules are being stomped all over.

I wish to see the final villain in the manga be some sort of Raoh like figure to Saitama who did the exact same type of training that Saitama did.

And then lose to Saitama because he did something ridiculous like take a nice warm bath after exercising.

This is the best breakdown I think.

I'm really hoping for a DBZ style villain who shows up, claims he's a million times more powerful in his evolved form, and dies in one punch before he even gets the chance with Saitama too drat bored to stand around for ten minutes while he powers up.

Maybe I should have clarified. Sonic gets a shirtless scene somewhere in the original that hasn't been covered in Murata's version yet. He's a dude. Murata just drew him really feminine.

Here, the scene in question, dialogue removed for spoilers.

So if someone else won't translate/scanlate OPM we'll see the next chapter in English in the beginning of Jan 2013. Which is good enough for me since Molester Man (don't judge it by the title) is an excellent series too and I anticipate its chapters even more than OPM ones now.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that once Murata updated, but that seems to be taking a while. I'm just a little concerned since Boon can't clean scans very well and the Young Jump extra chapter is pretty bad even for a magazine raw.
