I scrub the catbox like, once every few months. I've given up on scooping. I just buy expensive litter and dump it once a week (big box, 2 cats). I am thankfully not poor. I only brush my ragdoll once in awhile, but he only hairballs once every 3 months. The first year of both my cats lives they ate expensive as balls vet food (dry and wet) and now they just get Iams and Friskies.
